Midi Clock

This would be a very important feature for me. I need this for my lighting software too.
Some update of the last 9 months @Lukas E?
Is there maybe any beta to test already?

The new djay pro 2 doesn’t include this feature. Am I getting this right?
@Lukas Please reply to this thread clarifying how this will go on. Will the feature bei included soon or will it not?

WANT THIS

Need Midi clock too

2 years ago and no midi clock…

… a very professional software!

a waiting german DJ

Nice… have anyone testet Waveclock?
http://wavesum.net/products.html

Ableton has already done the work for you! Please integrate Link it’s super powerful and most DAW already has it as well as IOS apps! https://www.ableton.com/en/link/

I honestly don’t understand why they still haven’t added Midi Sync or Link. Makes zero sense, this is we the “Users” want! give us midi sync! WTH…

Please do this! I already stopped using your software because of the lack of midi sync. I would gladly come back if you added this feature. Please listen to your users!

Please Algoriddim add the MIDI clock freature

Please, just integrate this. Even free softwares like Mixxx has this

A new update today… And still no Midi Beat Sync.

As soon as a software replaces Djay Pro 2 for Mac with Midi Clock and streaming, I’ll be out too.

That’s what midi clock is about… And djay does not support it.
I tested waveclock, if you can bridge the output of your sound system directly on an input of your Mac, meaning that you don’t use the Mac’s mic but the full quality music directly, it’s very accurate. I now use wavetick as it is capable to send events for each beats and bars to my lighting software.

Up. Still needed.

Ableton Link has just been added

Serato DJ has exactly the same issue. It’s because Ableton Link protocol sets as master the first element to connect. But the thing is, when you change songs, it’s not the same element anymore, and therefore is not the master anymore.
That’s why Ableton Link, both for djay Pro and Serato DJ, isn’t enough.

As a Software, yes it’s the only solution to get a reliable Midi Clock Out from the beat detection analysis.

But we’ve experimented for more than a year BPM detection software like Beattracker or Waveclock, and they’re pretty reliable. Even more if you’re able to refeed the audio directly without using a mic.

Also, we discovered Beat Link Triggers, that is able to get all the data from Pioneers’ hardware protocol: DJ Pro Link. It can output the BPM in an always-slave state to Ableton Link, without messing up the CDJ’s sync.
So maybe a good Ableton to MIDI bridge could do the job to always reposition as a slave as does BLT.

But hey, Waveclock is enough for the most of situations!

PS:  Tried SoundSwitch. It’s a piece of crap compared to free Lighting software so it’s a no-go for me.

Hey Heiko,

Thanks for keeping me up posted. I just saw the new SoundSwitch networks’ features (Artnet and MIDI Clock) and their new pricing. It’s now better than everything else on the market. Guess I’ll stick with Serato DJ and will dig Djay Pro forever.

Hi every body midi sync integration pleeeeease
