MIDI command to enter a sub-folder?

In the library navigation section for midi mapping there are options to:

  • Switch back
  • Switch library table
  • Select section
  • Select source
  • Toggle library panel

However, I can’t find anything that will allow me to enter into folders when you have nested folders.

YOUR QUESTION:

  1. Is there any way to map a button to enter a folder within a folder?

Hi @rishi, try using “Switch Library Table”. I tested this in My Collection with folders and sub-folders.

I have that mapped on my iPad @Slak_Jaw and it just does what it says - switches focus from playlist panel to song table. If you have a song table full of folders switch table goes from the selected folder back to the playlist panel.

Also, I notice that if you are inside a folder in MyCollection the + option only allows you to create a playlist, not a folder.

Is this an iOS limitation?

I wanted the ability to navigate my sample folders (for loops etc) in the MusicFolders section which have nested folders.

Hi @rishi, the Switch Library Table command is working as expected for me in My Collection

If you select the New Playlist text while in a Folder, you’ll see a pop-up menu to add a sub-folder:

Ah ok cool. Thanks. Got it working now.
