Midi controller not giving me config settings

my midi device ( a akai mpd226) is not on the midi devices list

djay recognises it and gives the option to config settings, but when i press buttons it doesnt show that its recognising it.

i have no idea wtf im doing, am i being an idiot or is something not working

  1. Can you please confirm if you are running Windows 11 25H2?
  2. In particular have you have the following windows updates installed:
  • KB5074105
  • KB5077181
  • KB5077241
  • You can find these in Settings > Windows Update > Update History > Uninstall Update.
