MIDI controlling 3 channel Neural Mix EQ, while 4 channel NM EQ is selected

  • Device model (e.g. 2020 iPad Air 4th Gen): MacBook Air M2
  • Version of operating system (e.g. macOS 14.4.1): macOS 15.1
  • Version of djay (e.g. 5.1.2): 5.2.5
  • Hardware/controllers used (e.g. Reloop Mixon 8 Pro): Traktor X1 MK3

Summary of the issue:
When MIDI selecting Neural Mix EQ (4ch: xxx) it still keeps controlling one extra stem, depending on what you select in the 3 channel NM volume section (setting this to 4 channels doesn’t fix it, just wanted to show in the video that it happens with both harmonics+bass and bass+drums)

So let’s say I take out harmonics, the bass always drops down with it, regardless that it’s a 4 channel selection. Then the moment I want to change the bass slightly, the harmonics jump back in hard because it controls both harmonics and bass at the same time, with 1 knob.

This issue doesn’t occur when using the Neural Mix volume sliders, only on the NM EQs.

How to reproduce the issue:

Sorry I forgot to record with sound, I’ll try another recording with sound so you here the harmonics “jumping in”

Hi @Qun,

Thanks for sharing your issue, and I’m sorry that this has been occurring to you.

While we weren’t able to reproduce this initially, our teams are still looking into the root cause.

Thank you for the clear video; that was really beneficial as well!
