The Pioneer DDJ SX 2 is not natively supported, yet. Rest assured though, we are aware of this request, as this controller is quite popular!

You could get a sub to lighting cable or hub and try it out it could work, when the ddj sb was made comparable that worked for me. You could get a lighting cable usb hub. However the standard cable adapter that they sell from Apple at retail stores will not allow you to charge the iPad at the same time.
when can we expect a mapping?
if I may suggest doing it for both the SX and the SX 2, there are more people with the first SX and from what I’ve read they are keen to make the switch! Please do an original SX native mapping

I had a good play with this last night. For the functions I use it for, it all seems to work just fine.
The only obvious point I noted is that the channel LEDs do not light up, so it is always worth keeping an ear on your gain to ensure you’re not in the red, as the mixer won’t tell you.
Interestingly as well, it sems to play even if the phono channel is selected, i.e. there is no need/requirement to select PC on the channel. This could be dangerous for those live DJs who like to switch between vinyl and controller.
Got the LEDs to work, foolishly hadn’t clicked over to PC from phono, thought I had since everything else worked.
Is there a way to make deck 1 and 2 assign to channels 3and 4 by default? I prefer to have djay on 3&4 and vinyl on 1&2.
Does this work for the ddj sx as well?
