YOUR QUESTION / SUGGESTION / FEEDBACK:

  1. My Mixon 8 pro is not syncing up with DJay Pro on Windows. I can hear the tracks playing through the headphones but none of the knobs control anything on the app/software. The issue came up after I updated DJay Pro. The drivers and firmware are up to date on the controller. I looked into the Windows MIDI issue and do have one of the “affected” updates but it was installed on 2/19/26 and I used the controller w/o issue afterwards. Could it be an issue with the DJay Pro update to 5.6.4?! I have a gig tomorrow night (Friday 4/3). Please help! Is there a phone number I can call?

Hi @LightRay_Beats, there are known MIDI issues with the Windows 11 25H2. Please refer to the linked help center article for some workarounds.

Thanks so much for the reply!

I will give this a shot in the morning but windows was updated on 2/19 and
I played a show on 3/8 w/o issues. If this doesn’t work what do you
recommend?!

You’re welcome @LightRay_Beats. All of our recommendations are in the help article. One of them should solve your issue. If not, please report back here in the community. Thanks!

Just reporting back to the community here. I followed the steps in order and was able to get the controller synced back up again. The first step for extracting and running the replacement midi timestamps file did not work. However, the second step covered in the video tutorial to make sure the windows midi service is/was running did work. I set it to run automatically and also had to click on start. The controller did not have full functionality at first, but I unplugged it while DJ pro was running and unplugged back into a different USB port and that seemed to do the trick. Therefore, I did not have to uninstall the latest Windows update. I’ll report back with any other issues.
