I’ve read quite a few threads on here this evening before posting this but I wanted you advice, similar discussions seem to be closed.
Alas, it looks like my Reloop Mixon8 Pro is being returned for repair as I’m having jogwheel issues however tonight I think I’ve found another issue regards connections
I’ve just invested in a new Mac and it was my intention to have the Mac and iPad potentially connected in tandem to my Mixon 8
I went to connect the Mac via USB B on the controller and the Mac was not recognizing the controller. I tried multiple workarounds without success
When I switched the configuration to USB A it worked fine
So, I then tried connecting the IPad to USB B and it worked briefly before the Mixon disconnected the iPad and the playback came through the device rather than the controller/speakers
If you look at the attached videos be interested to see if you think the USB connection is faulty. I’ve never connected two devices in the 8 months or so I’ve had the controller so only recently found this issue
Hi again @Cuzer, please try pressing SHIFT+Slip (Vinyl) button near the top left of your jogwheel. It look to me like you have the jogwheel in pitch bend/cdj mode instead of vinyl mode. If that doesn’t solve the issue then it’s likely a faulty jogwheel.
unsure if you have carried out the following but…
it might be a good idea to test the controller on a different DJ application, that will work with that particular controller… at least that way you can determine if the controller is at fault
a secondary test… if the controller has midi assignments
is check using a midi monitor to see if the decks are behaving the same… you may have midi triggering automatically which might be affecting the midi? (assuming it has midi implemented)
I do have a midi Aki controller connected to my set up but this purely controls samples and NuralMix elements etc
I’ve never touched any settings to do with the jogwheels themselves, where do you find this info in the settnigs configuration?
I can try on a different software, frustratingly the issue is intermittent but occurs more often that not so may be just a case of using a different software for a prolonged period of time to try and replicate it
load up a midi monitor application…
once your controller is recognised… you should be able to see the midi messages once you press buttons move knobs etc
then compare the 2 jogwheels taking note how they behave…
btw its possible your controller is communicating via the hid protocol… i’m not entirely sure…
in which case there may be no midi messages being communicated to DJ pro
Hi, thanks for this, did this last night and both jog wheels were giving out the same reading with no issues
Suppose I need to try this when the fault is happening, as I said it comes and goes but happens more often that not so I’ll retry this when they are playing up
