Hi there,
I have a question about the Mixtour Pro, in particular the “Laidback Luke” button labelled “In-Out-Ex” from a MIDI perspective.
It’s a very handy button to be able to set a dynamic loop with the length you need in that moment, saving you needing to adjust the Autoloop setting and then activating Autoloop.
It’s also very handy from a real estate perspective, in that it emulates to a degree what you see on various Pioneer players with the three buttons - In, Out and Exit.
Essentially three buttons in one. And for DJs coming across from Pioneer it’s an easy adjustment.
If I want to emulate that behaviour using MIDI on a different controller, such as a Xone K3 is that possible?
Ie does the MIDI logic understand the three step process to start a loop, close the loop with an Autoloop initiated and then finally exit that now-Autoloop?
I’ve not looked at the Mixtour Pro MIDI configuration on my iPad yet to see what it looks like, but before I go down another MIDI mapping hole I thought I’d ask the question?
It’d be a shame if that functionality was hard-coded to only work with the Mixtour Pro. Whilst I respect its origin, it should be a Djay function, not a Laidback Luke function.
Thanks very much
James
