Mixtour Reloop Pro - Split Bounce Loop Bug

Device: iPhone 11 Pro + Reloop Mixtour Pro

App Version: djay 5.2.8 (latest version)

When using Bounce Loop in Split Mode on two channels simultaneously, one of the channels will get stuck in a fixed loop that cannot be disabled unless the track is reloaded.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Load two tracks, one on each channel.

  2. Set a 4-bar loop (or any loop length) on each channel.

  3. Activate Bounce Loop mode on both channels.

  4. Enter Split Mode and simultaneously press one of the Bounce Loop buttons on both channels.

  5. One of the two channels (sometimes both) will now have a fixed loop that cannot be turned off, requiring a track reload to reset.

Let me know if you encounter the same problem!

Cheers,
Lorenzo

Hi @Lorenzo_Grilli, welcome to the Community! Sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue.

  1. What iOS version and Mixtour Pro firmware are you using?
  2. Can you please also try to capture a short video of the issue, upload it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? Thanks!

Thank you @Slak_Jaw for your swift reply! I am using iPhone 15 Pro (sorry not iphone 11) Version iOS 18.1.1 and Mixtour Pro firmware v1.01.

Here is a google drive link to an example video of the issue:

You’re welcome @Lorenzo_Grilli. Thanks for the video. This is super helpful.

  1. Are you using the built-in MIDI Mapping or a custom edit?
  2. Are you able to replicate this same behaviour without the Mixtour Pro connected to your iPhone?

  1. I’m using a custom edit: Reloop MIXTOUR PRO Edit.djayMidiMapping - Google Drive!
(I made some changes to the bounce loop mode and auto loop and loop in/out as well but those were done after the video)
  2. Yes the same happens when I use my mac, but I use exactly the same MIDI Mapping there as well.

Thanks for the additional info. Does this happen with the built-in mapping as well? What about if you perform the same actions without the DJ controller connected?

Good questions!
Yes, the issue occurs even when I use my Reloop Mixtour Pro with the built-in MIDI Mappings.
Thankfully, when I use Djay Pro in standalone, that is to say with just my iPhone, the problem doesn’t happen.

Thanks for confirming @Lorenzo_Grilli. I actually have the exact same setup as you and was able to reproduce similar results. I will pass this onto our engineering team for further review and analysis. I’ll get back to you when I have news. Thanks!

Hey @Slak_Jaw thanks a lot for that!
Cheers

No problem @Lorenzo_Grilli. You’re welcome!

Hi @Lorenzo_Grilli, our engineering team determined that there was a hardware bug with the Mixtour Pro. It has already been reported to Reloop and they will be releasing a 1.02 Firmware Update today or tomorrow. Please keep an eye out for it here:
