Multi-Track Analysis for Streaming Music

I’ve done the searches of the forum and for the life of me I can’t find an answer to a well known ‘challenge’

Analyze Tracks was moved from multi tracks to single tracks to help improve stability of the App. So I have learned from searching.

My question, are we likely to ever have multi track analyze return and if so when?

Its the biggest pain in the proverbial waiting so long for tracks to be analyzed, especially when using multiple platforms or devices…

I go to play a set and have to spend a few hours before making sure anything I might need is ready across several playlists, so it really does need improving, hopefully with new updates?

Thanks in advance.

Analysing what kind of tracks? You don’t mention it, but are they tracks from a streaming service?

Restrictions on mass scanning (seen by providers as misuse because of the need to stream multiple tracks quickly) are normal.

Yes mostly streamed playlists take the longest. One at a time…

Thanks for the question @Neil_Cooper. I’ve passed this onto the devs and will report back when I have an answer.

Thank you, look forward to your reply.

Hi @Neil_Cooper, I spoke with engineering and they informed me that some streaming services impose server-side limits on how quickly we can download multiple tracks, which limits how quickly we can analyze tracks from these services.
