After some initial problems with djay pro on windows (I still can’t get it working under creators update) I now have the system working the way I desire however the Spotify intergration is superb until you take it on the road with no internet access so after reading all the post I have to push for 2 things and hope algoriiddim take note.
SPOTIFY OFF LINE IS THE ONLY OPTION if this software is really going to move forward or PULSELOCKER INTERGRATION
Serato is calling me back and I have resisted so far even after the initial problems I had with djay pro but getting to the music is what really matters and to this end the software is failing. It has all the bells & whistles standards that are extra on other software but getting your music out there is what’s it’s really falling down on. The powers that be need to sort this asap not another discussion as some of these demands have been going back months if not years ALGORIDDIM listen to your consumers or you won’t have many left
You are making unwarranted claims with unrealistic expectations. What were you expecting to hear? They have ZERO control over Spotify’s licensing which is what you are inquiring about whether you realize it or not. Perhaps reading some of these “discussions” would have been in order here as you may have become better aware of the present limitations. As far as Pulselocker support? A quick and simple browse of the Serato forums for even five minutes would lead you directly to the realization you are in the VAST minority here. I am a pro subscriber of PL, Spotify, Deezer and Amazon Unlimited and I can easily say Spotify is the best. PL has the best feature set as well as support but streaming music is all about availability and this is where Spotify shines. PL is supplemental at best.
As far as listening to their consumers trust it is Djay’s support of Spotify AS IT STANDS that directly leads to the majority of its current users. You should be thankful they do not attempt to further dig at caching as until Spotify revisits their end user agreements it would considerably jeopardize their (almost exclusive) partnership with this huge partner of theirs. Kudos to them for seeing past the clutter IMO…
Keep in mind if this does ever happen they will be looking to capitalize on the model thus vastly increasing the subscription fees to reflect such licenses.
Not even an acknowledgement thx
I did take a look around PL and even though they cater for the working dj it seems they do fall far short of what Spotify has on offer and the partnership with djay pro is a good one I still wish there was access to tracks off line via a crate so as not to rely on internet but this is not gonna happen anytime soon until the streaming services realise the benefits of doing this especially to jobbing DJ’s
