It would be good to have some type of ai lyrics mode in the video dj settings.

Hello, I was wondering, since it’s so easy to remove vocals, how difficult would it be for you to implement a feature that could harness the power of AI to extract lyrics from the acapella and display them as a layer on video output? It would make Djay a fantastic solution for those of us who get requests for karaoke. Please think about it, I bet this is something you could do if it doesn’t stray from your vision too much. Thanks for your time and effort!

Hi,

Just tried DJAY PRO 5.0 : great

But don’t understand why .lrc files (lyrics) can’t not be displayed in DJAY video mode.

For example in VIRTUALDJ 2023 :

detect :

same-Track_name.flac
same-Track-name.lrc

if files have the same name with et .lrc, VirtualDJ read .lrc lyrics fils with the audio file in VIDEO mode.

(Like media player windows r VLC or free sofwtare)

Don’t understand why it’s impossible in DJAY PRO 5.0 ? It’s would be easy to you developpers to add this great feature in few seconds… with your great and best stems for great Karaoke party…

Tidal have lyrics and Apple music lyrics on their server.

Apple sing use lyrics on iphone and ipad. (Apple music app)

Feature : an parternship with Apple , to use Apple music sing lyrics, inside DJAY pro video

Tidal will hace soon a Stems DJ subscription . Why not a apple Music ? DJ subsciptions with stems and lyrics karaoke video ? (lyrics from existing lyrins on apple music server and vocal separation with DJAY pro Audioshake stems)

I hope you are doing well. I am a long-time user of djay Pro 5.4.4, and I truly appreciate the power and flexibility of the software.

I would like to suggest a feature that would greatly enhance the experience when playing local tracks: the ability to display song lyrics in real time (karaoke-style or synced) directly in the main interface, without requiring video mode or external visuals — similar to how Apple Music or Spotify show lyrics while a song is playing.

Here are a few ideas / considerations:

  • Support for .lrc or embedded lyric tags in local music files (MP3, AAC, etc.).
  • A simple, optional lyrics panel or overlay in the djay interface (for example, near the waveform or under the deck).
  • The feature would work offline, using lyrics stored locally within the track metadata or in a paired .lrc file.
  • A toggle in settings to enable/disable lyric display, so users who prefer a clean interface can keep it off.
  • No need for streaming service integration or video output.

This feature would be extremely useful for DJs who use local libraries, practice sessions, or want to engage their audience by showing or following lyrics without switching to video mode.

Thank you for considering this idea. I believe many users who work with local files would really appreciate it. If there’s any way I can help test or refine the concept, I’d be glad to contribute.

I have already searched the community forum, and I noticed that all the related topics are closed due to inactivity and mostly refer to lyrics in video mode only .
That’s why I decided to open this new suggestion focused specifically on local tracks without video output .
