When I use MWM Phase and for some reason the Phase loses connection or the remote disconnects, DJay Pro continues playing, but if I try to disconnect and reconnect Phase while the remote is spinning, it stops. This does not happen with Serato, as if I disconnect the remote and reconnect it while it’s spinning, the remote continues playing without stopping. I want to switch completely to DJay Pro, but I need this issue fixed. Thanks.

Was any head way made with this bug. I’m new to Phase with Djay. I had it happened twice and can’t seem to figure out how to get it in connected once the single drops. Beyond closing the app and restarting. Pretty untenable in the middle of a gig. It works great for a while and then the rotation of the remote and starting and stop the turntable has no effect. It stay in the wireless mode in the software. Both remote batteries in the 90%. I’ve tried redocking the remotes and recalibrating. Dose have any effect.
The step.

Phase remote had no updates, what version is current.
Tried it again tonight, only got a hour in before it glitched out. I’m hunch something to do with start, stop, back spin. I trying to dial transitions before my gig this weekend. I believe that was the same stuff I was doing the other two times it lost connection.
I had the same thing happening to me also yesterday at a gig after 3 hours in. It was a wedding and the party just started when suddenly no signal was received anymore from the Phase Devices.
As I was the only DJ I was not able to restart my laptop and had to play in internal mode with my DJM-S7 which was a pain! I also tried to fix the issue with redocking phase controllers and also unplugging and replugging the phase receiver. Nothing worked.
After the gig I restarted the computer on the same setup and then it worked again like previously described.
I work with a MacBook Pro 14“ 2023, M3 Max, Mac OS Seqoia
This needs to be fixed asap otherwise I have to switch software!
Hi @ian_wheat and @trebbis, sorry for the delayed reply here.
- How exactly is your Phase receiver connected to your Mac?
- Are you using a powered USB hub or any adapters? Is the receiver getting enough power from the USB port?
- Have you tried connecting to a different USB port on your Mac?
- Have you tried a different USB cable?
- Are you using Automix in djay?
Thanks for the additional info @trebbis. I would try connecting your Phase receiver directly to your Mac and without any adapters.
Okay I will try and test!

Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!
Hey @Slak_Jaw, I did try it and it happen again actually. It’s hard to reproduce but I can confirm this happend again even when the phase controllers are directly connected to the Mac.
Thanks for the follow up @trebbis. Unfortunately I can’t think of anything else to suggest. Given that it’s very intermittent makes me think it’s a cable, connector or hardware issue.
