I am using DJ Pro and connecting with the lightning cable. It recognizes that is connected because I can control the master volume and it plays. I did a total reset of my iPad last night and it did end up working! I see many have had this issue so it may be worthwhile to find the cause because resetting your iPad does give you other issues to deal with. Thanks for the response
