Whether Neural Mix will be added to the Android version of Djay
Probably when android systems can handle it sufficiently
Probably when android systems can handle it sufficiently
Newer android systems can handle it perfectly. But the devs don’t really want people to use Android. That’s why they also don’t let the android users:
- Output audio through the headphone jack of hardware controllers. Even those that are built specifically for Djay (like the Reloop Buddy) won’t let you cue tunes on android.
- Batch analyze tracks for BPM and key. (You have to load in each single track to have it analyzed on Android)
- Ceate playlists!
- Or even sort your tunes! And the tunes are not listed alphabetically either, so you’re basically finding a needle in a haystack evevery time you want to pick the next tune.
All these things could easily be incorporated in the android version. But the devs don’t want to!
That’s why some are speculating that they’re being paid by Apple to keep the android version inferior.
Hi @tumoshchuka,
Thank you for posting your question in our community.
As we’ve discussed in previous topics, the extensive variety of Android hardware on the market presents unique challenges and complexities for development. Each device - whether a handset, tablet, or laptop - operates differently, which can make development more time-consuming.
In response to @Blammo’s recent post: We are committed to achieving feature parity for djay across all platforms. We understand the high demand for these features within our Android user base and want to assure you that there is no intentional limitation on djay for Android to favor the growth of djay on Apple products.
We appreciate your understanding.
Seriously, I doubt that’s why… it’s obvious that they have a preference for Apple’s eco system…
not being able to sort your music in order, analyze all your songs in batches, have PRO view, with horizontal waveform options, have more compatibility with controllers (since the compatible ones, the preview mode does not work, they can still open more models… but no)… it is not a limitation of the “several android devices” it is a limitation that you as developers, who see Android users as a poor market, impose…
Everyone in the Android forums thinks that they are not interested in it and that there are preferences, so I refute that idea of you wanting parity on the platforms…
There is an absolute preference for Apple ones. So wait years for djay pro on android to become like the ones on the iPad, I have a redmi pad 6 pro that is more powerful than an ipad 10 gen and a macbook air m3 and the differences are noticeable even in the windows version
Hello and I join the opinion that Apple is favored, there are many posts on the forum proving the superiority of processors, Apple systems and by the way what maps they use Android is Linux, so I don’t see a problem in adapting Djay to Android and there is no point in discussing it. To some extent, this is monopolizing the product. But if you want, you can prove it by updating Djay to V 5.2.6, I will add that the system has not changed it has not become more Apple-like, but thanks a lot for this update, although it has shortcomings, but well, let’s hope that this is the right direction and someone there will see that some people cannot use Apple for various reasons because, for example, the company’s environment is not built on Apple.
