Hello,
I have both Djay Pro and Apple Music subscriptions.
I understand we cannot use STEMs with Music Streaming Services.
So, I purchased a song I would like to use STEMs with, on the iTunes Store (Candy Shop / 50 Cent).
But I still get the same message from Djay Pro (Stems not allowed with Streaming Services.
What am I doing wrong ?
Thank you
PS: Obviously, I guess this question has been asked many times, so I searched for it (“stems”), but didn’t find anything relevant to my question - sorry for possible duplicates.
Thank you @PKtheDJ and @Chris_R,
I tried what you said, but it didn’t work - so I searched a bit deeper.
The problem is iTunes store is downloading a HLS file, which apparently is Apple-protected ALAC.
So, I don’t exactly understand what is the point of purchasing, if it is still protected and I can do no more than with the Apple Music subscription.
Again, this is not a Djay issue but an Apple issue.
But if anyone has some experience with this (how to usefully purchase and download from iTunes Store), it would be helpful.
(As I do not even have a CD-reader anymore).
Hello @PKtheDJ,
Yes I found this yesterday too, it seems we have some friends in common (Google ).
I didn’t have time to try yesterday though, but tried this morning and it works indeed.
So:
I deleted the song in Apple Music,
Selected a lower download format (AAC).
Got the new file (now m4a and not HLS nor movpkg).
And it works fine in Djay app (I can apply NeuralMix).
So, everything is fine.
Case closed.
Thank you very much for your help.
