- Device model: MBP 16" M1 Pro
- Version of operating system: macOS 15.1
- Version of djay/Neural Mix: 5.2.5/2.0.2
- Hardware/controllers used: n/a
Summary of the issue:
When I export instrumentals, artifacts from the vocals are included that don’t exist if I playback the instrumentals in realtime in both djay and Neural Mix. Likewise, the vocals extracted lose some of the vocals, but during real-time playback, the vocals sound great. This was not the case when I initially installed 2.0.2 with macOS 15.0. I can’t pinpoint the timing, but it may have started after installing macOS 15.1.
How to reproduce the issue:
Compare an instrumentals export to real-time playback of the isolated instrumentals stem.
Hi @philfnyc, thanks for the details about your setup and the issue. Can you please try to capture a video of the issue, upload it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? Thanks!
Sorry don’t want to hi-jack the thread.
Just ask a quick question : is Neural Mix Pro also a standalone software, independent from Djay Pro ?
Hi @Davidv100, yes this is a separate stand alone app:
Hi @philfnyc, thanks for the video, but it doesn’t seem to include the results of the Acapella and Instrumental export. Please also share these results for comparison. Thanks!
Hi. I updated the video. It has five sections:
- Audio as recorded
- Vocals/acapella in Real-time
- Vocals/acapella via Export
- Instrumentals in Real-time
- Instrumentals via Export
Each section covers the same part of the song (starting at 2m49s) for comparison purposes.
Thanks for the updated video @philfnyc. This is super helpful. I’ve passed this onto our engineering team for further review and will report back when I have news.
