No audio output on Pioneer DDJ-RR controller Djay Pro AI Mac

Hi,
I appear to be having issues that many others have surfaced, without any real solution - I have tried using DJ Pro AI on both PC laptop and Macbook Pro (2019) with my Pioneer DDJ-RR and have the same issue on both. No output though my monitors. The hardware appears to be mapped to the software, but there are no options in preferences for the DDJ-RR anywhere e.g. output, only internal speakers.

I have had previous success on the old DJay Pro for a number of years on an old MacBook Pro with my DDJ-RR, so it would appear to be the software. Usually the pioneer logo appears and an option to select the Midi controller appears, but not on the new software on the new-ish Mac.

I have tried downloading the driver and this did not make any difference.
