Hi I just upgraded from a ddj sr to a ddj sz2. On the sz2 it won’t show up on the device list. The sr works perfectly The sz2 I can only play through the computer speakers. I made sure the pioneer drivers are installed. Can you help?
Hi @Paulm,
Thanks for joining our community.
We believe this is due to a missing or faulty installed driver. We kindly ask you to check your Pioneer driver installation by following these instructions:
CASE 1: If you install the driver for the first time after updating to macOS version High Sierra 10.13 or later
When installing the driver for the first time on macOS version High Sierra 10.13 or later, the attached dialog will appear.
- When asked for permission, click on “Open Security Preferences”
- When the “Security & Privacy” page opens, you will see a message below
—> Note: This message will only appear for 30 seconds after the first alert. If this does not appear, please try reinstalling the driver. - Click “Allow” and unlock your Mac with the password
- When your hardware is connected to your Mac, disconnect and re-connect the hardware.
CASE 2: If you installed the driver already without following the instructions of CASE 1
If the Allow button is not shown in “Security & Privacy”, you must reinstall the driver following these steps:
1.) UNINSTALLING
1.1.) Remove your equipment from your computer.
1.2.) Download the installer of your equipment from Pioneer DJ support page.
1.3.) Unzip the downloaded file [XXXXX.zip] and double-click the unzipped .dmg file [XXXXX.dmg].
1.4.) Double-click [XXXXX Uninstaller.app] in the mounted disk image to start.
1.5.) Follow the instructions on the screen.
1.6.) Reboot your computer after uninstalling
2.) INSTALLING
2.1.) Double-click the downloaded .dmg file [XXXXX.dmg].
2.2) Double-click [XXXXXAudioDriver.pkg] in the mounted disk image to start.
2.3.) Follow the instructions on the screen.
2.4.) Follow “CASE 1 " to allow the driver software installation.
2.5.) Connect your equipment to the computer.
This should fix the issue. Let us know if the issues persist.
