No way to open folder via midi mapping

  • Version of operating system MacOS Sequoia 15.2
  • Version of djay: 5.2.6
  • Hardware/controllers used: Hercules inpulse 500

Summary of the issue:

No functioning way to open a “crate” of playlists via midi mapping in the library browser. I saw an old post saying this had been implemented in DJay Pro 1.2 via the Focus Playlists midi action, but that action does not appear to do anything.

This is necessary to navigate through an organized library using the large rotary knob on most controllers.

How to reproduce the issue:

I tried to find action that opens and closes “crates” of playlists, but failed.

Switch Back will open/close a folder (crate).

  • Same as using the dropdown arrow (>)
  • or using an un-mapped right/left arrow key.

Additional Note on Switch Back

  • It also works as a “go to Playlists (crates)” command.
  • after that it opens/closes the playlist folders (crates).
