Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX keeps entering demo mode

I have a numark Mixtrack platinum FX which keeps entering demo mode when I plug into my iPad 9th gen. The buttons/wheels/faders work fine but all the lights on the controller flash and the bpm and the numbers on display on the jog wheels just keep increasing.

Is there a fix for this?

Hi @Abiodun237, I did a quick Google search and found this on Reddit. Sounds like you’ll need to do some scripting

https://www.reddit.com/r/Beatmatch/comments/tztny4/turn_off_the_demo_mode_on_mixtrack_platinum/

Thanks for the response. Although I’m not sure how I will be able to do this or enter the mapping code through iPad? Is there somewhere through Djay pro where I can do this?

You’re welcome. I believe you will need to do this via a computer.

Scripting did not work for me. However…
PC/Mac users have a Serato Intro work around
No Serato for IOS… hence:

Plugged in controller
Install/Open Garage Band
Open DJ Pro
Closed Garage Band
No silly lightshow but rather consistent full controller functionality

Tested: Ipad Mini & M1 Ipad Pro 11
Hope this helps some of you

Thanks for sharing @salsaweb

  • Connect to the macbook numark platinum fx
  • Wait for demo mode on numark platinum fx (30 sec)
  • And only then launch Djay Pro

If you launch Djay Pro immediately after connecting the controller, it won’t work.

Hi @Beatgener, welcome to the Community! Did you review the Reddit link I shared above or salsaweb’s suggestion above for disabling demo mode?
