Your question:
Is there a way to permanently remap the HPF and LPF buttons on the Mixtrack Pro FX to different effects? I’ve looked through all the MIDI mapping options and there isn’t anything that explicitly states that the other effects in the app like BitCrusher are a valid destination. I’m not super keen on needing to navigate thru my phone anytime I want an effect other than defaults given, that doesn’t really facilitate creativity on the fly.

I looked at the other thread where they remapped the dry/wet and beat knob to go to all the 3 effects for decks 1 and 2 but that’s not really what I’m looking for. Numark Mixtrack Platnium FX - DJ Pro AI - Midi Mapping not working - #38 by DJTonyBlanck

Hi @BatBennis,

  1. I don’t have access to this specific hardware, so I don’t know how these HPF and LPF FX buttons are currently MIDI mapped.
  2. However, looking at the pictures, I think you could potentially map those buttons to Instant FX.
  3. Basically, this would make those 2 buttons Pad FX that are independent of the Wet/Dry knob and the FX Paddles. Again, not having this hardware, I’m not sure how this is being handled internally so this may or may not work.
  4. The main challenge I see with this approach is controlling which deck the Instant FX are applied to. If it were me, I would probably just map the HPF button to Deck 1 Instant FX1 and the LPF button to Deck 2 Instant FX1.
  5. Then you just need to switch to the Instant FX pad mode view in djay, select the pencil icon, then the “…” next to Pad 1 and choose from one of the many FX options.

Hello! It’s been more than 14 days since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!

Again, lots of good info here, especially since I own this controller
