OneLibrary as a collection

I was trying to use OneLibrary on a SSD as a main Music folder (to use it on iPad and organize on MacOS). I find some UX things troublesome:

  1. You can export Playlist from Collection by right clicking. But you can’t export on track by track basis. You have to add just that one track to playlist and export, and then remove playlist from OneLibrary, the track stays on SSD.
  2. When browsing OneLibrary you can’t right click and Add to Playlist which is in the library, you only see My Collection. But, you can drag and drop and it works.
  3. When you add new track to the playlist in My Collection, and want to update OneLibrary, first thing you try is to send the playlist, only to find out that it duplicates the playlist in OneLibrary. The plus is it doesn’t duplicate the files, and you can remove the old playlist, but you have to check which one is which because they’re named the same.

I am really happy for the integration and am looking forward to improvements, you are doing an awesome job with the updates! In the current form it requires some additional steps. I would really like if OneLibrary was the backbone of our collections, instead of My Collection functionality, and you could just send some parts of it to external drives.

As for point 3, I think would be helpful if there is an update function, so you can update a playlist on your usb drive instead of having a second playlist with the same name next to it.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll share this with the dev team for consideration.
