OneLibrary exporting partial playlist

A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE:

  • I export a playlist from my computer with OneLibrary to fat32 usb stick. The playlist is full of mp4 videos, around 800 video files.

  • I navigated to OneLibrary in the sources on djay for iPad, select my playlist, it thinks for a while, then shows only 50 items in the playlist.

B) DETAILED STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Export large playlist of video files to one library usb, load on iPad, observe low number of playlist items

C) EXPECTED RESULTS:

  • Should be able to see all playlist items

D) ACTUAL RESULTS:

  • Only see 50 out of ~800 expected

  1. Are all your files in a single folder, multiple folders or multiple nested folders?
  2. What is the rated read/write speed of your drive?
  3. What are the file size ranges for your videos?
  4. What is the total size of all videos combined?
  5. How much free space is remaining on the drive?
  6. If you wait a while, do more files appear or does it remain on the same total number?

sorry about the late reply.

  1. all files are in a single folder
  2. it says read speeds up to 130MB/s
  3. videos are typically between 50-150mb
  4. 90GB
  5. 150GB~ (it’s a 256gb drive)
  6. If you wait, it doesn’t update with more files. same total.

No problem @yeahdef. Thanks for the answers. Everything looks okay to me although the drive speed is on the slower side. Have you tried exporting in smaller batches instead of the entire 90GB at once?

i dont see an option in djay pro to export ‘partial’ playlists?
I just see the right click menu on the playlist with “Add to USB library”

Please try creating multiple smaller playlists that contain fewer songs and exporting 1 playlist at a time.
