Hi all!!!
One of the greatest features I use and is the one that keeps me from moving entirely to DJay Pro, is the button that matches two songs together and when I play the one, the second comes always first at the match list. For example I accidentally do a great transition and I need to remember that these songs vibe great together!
Another is for the match list to suggest me up to maybe 7 songs that I’ve played before and after the song that plays now. That really helps in panic situations! Because matching bpm and genre doesn’t always help in different styles of djing.
Cross my heart and looking forward for upcoming updates of this great dj software.
I came here to suggest a way of manually matching (local) tracks, but what D-mosh suggested sounds great. Please make this available for local tracks on the iPad as well. Thanks!
Another feature I liked in rekordbox was the ability to track-match based on history.
You can configure the panel to show tracks that you’ve played BEFORE and AFTER the currently playing track, or the one you’ve highlighted in the list. You can go one step further and define how far you want to go, e.g. 3 tracks before/after, 5 tracks before/after.
The panel would live-update and it was really useful for those “brain fog” moments.
Hi again @discoian, this is not currently possible in djay. However, I’ve merged your question with this existing Suggestion topic. Please use the Vote button to show your support for adding this functionality. Thanks!
There is already a lot been said about improvement for Related & Matched tracks. Personally after a gig I through the history list the next morning and make a manual relation between those tracks that did go well but having the option to always see some history would also be helpful in certain situations, so you got my vote.
The current match list does show the related and match- tracks in one row, so for me it is important to be able to distinguish the difference between those two (like described in point 4 of this previous proposal:
I have added my vote, it may take a while to get traction! In the meantime I will investigate the related tracks option as that is a neat workaround for now.
