What is the story with this?? Software is not cheap and you can’t even use it the first day to host a small event.

I have Spotify Premium. After I load approximately 6 songs from Premium, it fails…and yes I have a Premium account. Not good Warren.
I just tried to make it fail again…but doing nothing in the program other than what its supposed to do and it failed again after about 6 times. It failed twice and I took screenshots.

We’re currently investigating this issue.
* What kind of songs do you have?
* Are your songs stored on an external HD?
Are your songs also on an extnernal HD?
Spotify can not be used offline. You must be connected for it to work.
Also, since Spotify is not licensed for public performance, I suggest you join Promo Only or a similar company so you are not violating the TOS from Spotify.
Spotify offline has not been an option so far.

Just sat down to mix a set only to find I cannot load my tracks. Receive a message stating "Could not load track. The operation could’t be completed. (OSStatus error -54.) See screen cap below. Using Djay Pro. Has worked flawlessly since I’ve downloaded the program, and used as recently as 24 hours ago.

Every time I try to load a song on to the deck I recently bought from iTunes, I get this error message: The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -54.) I literally found myself DJing a club and had to use Spotify because none of my purchased music worked. How disappointing! Please help.

Nothing is wrong with my Spotify Premium or my internet connection. Used Mac Yosemite.

Ok so i’m a DJ and an amateur developer, I have to say first off i am overall impressed with Algoriddims DJAY PRO, I used the original DJAY APP for awhile before DJAY PRO was released (which i find a bit of a rip off since i bought original DJAY and had to re-purchase its major upgrade)
Anyways back to the solutions i have found to work for me, ok so first option i found worked to fix was to play whatever media gives you these errors through iTunes at least once allowing it to account for leveling and gapless playback or whatever…
If that doesn’t work move the problem media to an external drive and connect it to your iTunes library or a playlist then analyze library of said media,…
.
And if that still doesn’t work this last option has always worked, if you have a copy of the original DJAY APP JUST OPEN IT UP AND DRAG ERROR MEDIA INTO A DECK, SHOULD LOAD AND ANALYZE …now that original DJAY app has analyzed DJAY PRO will no longer give you error…
for some reason the original DJAY app’s analyzation algoritham accounts for more file formats, then tags the media and somehow fixes whatever caUses the original OSSSTATUS -54 ERROR.
A recent update…i found if the above solutions still work to fix, take problem media put it in a folder, create an iTunes playlist, drag problem media into playlist, select all media in playlist the goto :FILE > CREATE NEW VERSION : then just choose ACC VERSION or if there are videos also selected, just choose either of the other two listed options. After conversion said media should work absolutely no problem…
I am happy to see where this software is going there is still much work to be done, but i use professionally and have had a better user experience than most other DJ apps available (serato, tractor, virtualdj) it could be truly amazing piece of indrustry software…
hope this helps you guys it took me quite some time to trouble shoot this problem as i had a music collection of nearly 200 thousand songs and videos…
FINALLY A LIST OF FEATURES I THINK SHOULD BE ADDED:
*TO ANALYZE SONGS FROM DJ THROUGH THE FINDER VIEWER TAB
*ITUNES IF DJAY SOFTWARE IS PRESENT SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY ANALYZE AND DISPLAY IN ITUNES TABS THE BPM AND KEY (this would greatly increase work flow and save time analyzing each song or playlist)
*THE NEW VIDEO MIXING OPTIONS IS AMAZING, BUT WOULD BE EXTRAORDINARY IF THERE WAS A REMOTE CONTROL APP LIKE VJAY THAT I COULD USE TO CONTROL VIDEO DECKS, I TRY USING VIDEO MIXING WITH CURRENT BUILD AND FIND IT TO BE A BIT LAGGY AND A BIT TOO CONFUSING, THE FEATURES ARE GREAT BUT DEF NEED MORE EFFECTS, AND TRANSITIONAL OPTIONS
*THIS IS A BIG ONE - A BEATGRID ANALYZATION!! A MAJORITY OF MY SONGS CHANGE THEIR BPM AT CERTAIN POINTS IN THE SONG, IT WOULD BE NICE IF THE BPM COUNTER COULD ACTIVELY DISPLAY WHEN OR WHERE THESE BPM VARIATIONS OCCUR AND ACCOUNT FOR THAT CHANGE WHEN SYNC OF TWO TRACKS IS ENABLED, (i can’t stand it when i have a song perfectly synced, then i drop the loop and one of the songs bpm’s changes and i have to qUickly hit SYNC again or crossfade back to only one track, extremely aggrivating becaUse yes i can absolUtely sync two songs with my ears, but if a change in songs BPM occurs,…without a visual reference to said variation,…its a problem.)
*OPTION TO SEARCH BMP, to be able to just type in a BPM in search field and it provide an playlist or media library’s matches would be a valuable option.
*IPAD CONTROLLER (REMOTE) APP!!
*THE NEW “MATCH” OPTION IS AMAZING BUT NEEDS AN UPDATE IT TOOK 2 HOURS FOR THE MATCH OPTION TO FIND A SINGLE SONG OUT OF MY LOCAL COLLECTON AND SPOTIFY …(HORRIBLE) BUT AGAIN THIS COULD BE A STELLAR FEATURE ONCE REFINED.

*FINALLY A BETTER MORE ACCURATE BPM SYNCING algorithm,… i find about 70% of the time i have to match songs with my ear in my cue because sync inaccurately analyzed.
I ran into this problem when I synced my MacBook Pro iTunes library with my Mac Pro iTunes library. What worked for me is: File - Add to Library… then select the iTunes Music folder that is already there.
Our fix! - open djay log out of spotify in the djay app. Close the djay app. Open it back up and log back in. The. It worked for us.

I just bought a brand new mbp with a 2tb thunderbolt LaCie hd. I have djay pro latest 1.21. Spotify premium account. I downloaded all Spotify to be used offline. First gig and I noticed songs playing and stopping during dinner for now reason. Panic mode. Lucky for me I have dual cd till I reboot. After I restarted and playing selections from the Spotify portion of DJay pro, I went back to iTunes to load a track and got this error. -54 and would not load a track till I rebooted. Also I noticed that previous to the gig I made all tracks offline. I had to do this again before the gig and Spotify requires a wifi even when all the playlists are offline. Luckily again I had my tether available.
Have recently started experiencing the OSSStaus error -54 when playing music off my external hard drive whilst running version 2.0.6 ( I think the problem started after the latest update) . Was previously working fine. None of the above solutions seem to help. Any suggestions much appreciated - its currently barely usable software…
