Overhaul and more realistic Gear visuals for VR DJing

Hey all,
I tagged Algoriddim in this tweet hoping it activates some brain cells within Meta on missed opportunities because they seem to focus the HMD on gaming (unlike what Apple and soon Samsung /Google will be doing )

To that point; from Algoriddim, the ask is:

  • please use realistic visuals for Gear. When clubbers/punters “see the mix” on screens at venues and find themselves immersed in it, they love it.

  • Djay on the Quest has a lot going for it - the aircrates, the blend and feel of turntable DJing (with the convienance of beatmatch and hotcues)… Why not go the extra mile and mimic the groove lines on the vintly visually representing the areas of drops and breakdowns. Experienced vinyl Djs know how to intuitively “read” these in the mix.

  • as can be seen from the unedited video tweet below, tactile feel of cross faders is much needed. Kudos to Algoriddim for implementing hardware controllers.(If only the pre-cue worked for me on the DJ2Go2)

But! Mainly this is a shoutout of encouragement to Algoriddim to develop for VR DJing.
as you can see that’s around 15k USD of “virtual gear” I’m playing with in the other DJing app.

Thanks for the feedback @dirrogate. I have passed this onto the dev team.
