Summary of the issue:
With pickup mode enabled for the EQ pots, the behaviour is not as expected.
How to reproduce the issue:
With a pot in the middle (‘0’), switch to neural mix control with the N button, twist a pot all the way to the left then press the N button to switch back to EQ mode. When you manually adjust the same pot, the EQ will immediately jump to the value of the pot instead of waiting for it to get back to ‘0’ and then takeover. If the pot was anything except ‘0’, pickup mode works as expected and the value doesn’t change until the pot gets back to that postition.
Hi @David_Lane, make sure that you enable pickup mode for both your regular EQ MIDI commands AND your Neural Mix EQ MIDI commands for each knob.
There is no seperate CC that is transmitted by the pots from the Mixtour Pro when in Neural Mix mode, only CC23-25. Given that it is able to do the expected pickup mode when switching between EQ and NM when the pot is off the ‘0’ mid point, I think this is a valid bug.
Hi @David_Lane, I just tested this in more detail with the Mixtour Pro and I can see what you mean now. The issue seems to be isolated to minimum, center, and maximum EQ dial positions. If you don’t go all the way to the extremes and avoid the center, it seems to operate as expected. I will pass this onto the engineering team for further review after the holidays. Thanks!
