My Pioneer DDJ 400 dose not work well with the new iOS dj app pro the crossfader lags and the effects button don’t work for both apps. When I have the settings set to not auto select decks for cueing it works a little better. the old dj app worked better. Is there a way to put custom samples in the sample backs like the old Djay version iOS app?

You should connect it via the newest generation Apple camera connection kit, the one that allows you to both connect and charge the device. Which version of djay are you using?
