My Pioneer Ddj ergo doesnt work with deejay2 after Mavericks update…
I’ve updated the firmware…( It was allready up-to-date…)
When I start up Deejay2 it first gives the magic color wheel of death for about 2 mins…
Then it responds and seems to work…
At the prefs i can select the Ddj Ergo…
The Ergo is also lit, but it wil not controll Deejay2…
It looks as if there is no comm between the controller and Deejay2…
The audio is routed trough the Ergo, but wil not play…
HELP!!!

I just tested djay 4.2.2 on Mavericks with DDJ Ergo (firmware v.9.41) and everything works properly.
Which djay version are you using? Which firmware version do you have? To determine the firmware version of your Ergo, open “System Information” > “USB” > “Pioneer DDJ-ERGO”.
Have you tried restarting your Mac? I know it sounds too easy but it actually does help in some cases.

I have djay 4.2.2
And I run it on a 8 months old retina macbook…
But I discovered the problem seems to be not really about the DdjErgo…
If I now just startup Djay I get the magic wheel of collors…
It wil not play, Im not even able to scroll trough the library,
or even get in the prefs…
Its just not responding anymore…
I have to force quit it…
I all ready thrashed Djay and did a new download from the appstore…
It did not help…
I really have the feeling it has to do with Mavericks,
because before the update, Djay not once did not work…
Do you have any advice…?!?
I dont really know what to do anymore, and I used Djay a lot…!!

I just thought of testing Djay 1 also…
I bought that once on Cd-rom…
Later updated through the appstore…
But that is also not working…
Just the same as Djay 2…
What does that tell us?!?!?

After about 5 or 6 min of collorwheeling,
It works…
So it seems to have a lot of trouble with initializing…
I wish it was that easy…!!
