Playhead missing in djay v5.2.6 iOS in hardware mode

Hi again @DaddyDeFunk, can you please provide complete details on what iOS device you are using? I was able to reproduce this on iPad Pro 13, but not on iPhone 15 Pro Max or iPhone 12 Mini. Thanks!

I’m using an iPad Air 13-inch (M2) running iPadOS 18.1.1.

Thanks for the additional info @DaddyDeFunk

Same problem/behavior on iPad Pro 11 (M2) on latest iPadOS.

Im having the same issue. I have an IPad Pro. Hardware mode the play head disappears and pro comes back.

I have an issue with the new 2 Deck Hardware Mode on IpadOS. When activated the red position marker is missing. When switching to Pro Mode the red marker is visible.

In 4 Deck Hardware Mode the red position marker is also visible.

Hi @blunote85, I’ve moved your post to this topic. This is a known bug with 5.2.6 when using Hardware Mode. Thanks.

When loop is active, the waveform overview gets zoomed in into the loop. Not the same, but related for sure.

In the W track overview waveform on the hardware 2 deck version, the red marker has disappeared??? Hardware 4 decks is OK. There are red markers. Why is that? Before the update to 5.2.6, everything was fine.

Your question:

In hardware mode 2 deck with Reloop mixtour pro:
playhead position is unvisible in the upper 2 waveformes. Have to switch to pro mode to see the playhead position.

This is a known pesky bug and should be sorted out in next release.

This really confused me at a gig last week.Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I’d like to start using my iPad more for gigs but the playhead position marker is something I depend on. I never really noticed how much I depend on it until it went missing.

Yup, I had to do a whole gig this weekend with no playhead marker! Hope it gets fixed soon!

Thanks for the additional feedback @Pierre_Henry. The team is working on it. In the meantime, please switch to Pro Mode to show the playhead marker on the overview waveform.

Summary of the issue:
When on Hardware Mode 2 Decks the little red bar showing the position in the track doesn’t show. The issue is only on this exact mode.

How to reproduce the issue:
Switching to Hardware Mode 4 Decks or any other mode shows the red bar correctly.

This is really bad. I have invested heavily in Algoriddim. I need the play head on 2-deck Hardware mode like right now for my show tomorrow.

Pro mode is not really going to work because I need quick access to effect selection on hardware mode.

Just add the play head back ASAP. Don’t wait until the next update.

The only big thing worth for a single iOS update is the play head.
