Plex API or OpenSubsonic API support in djay Pro would allow users to connect to their own music collections both at home or on-the-go, sync playlists/music back & forth, and have download/offline caching.
Also solves the issue of syncing playlists/collections across devices, would also sync ratings, playcounts, and edited playlists back & forth.
This allows people to finally move away from the neglected and slowly deteriorating iTunes/Music experience for local music. Don’t get me wrong, Apple Music streaming support is a great addition to djay, but managing local music with Music-the-app is definitely not getting any better.
Also would make better support of multiple genres & multiple artists per track possible, as well as browse by Record Label.
Basically, like AM/Spotify/Tidal, but for your own collection.
