Pre-cueing with DDJ-200

Hello, I’m hoping someone can help me with the following issue with split output and pre-cueing. I’ve listed my setup and the result below;

Equipment:

MacBook Air running Big Sur 11.6.8
djay pro AI 4.0.3
Pioneer DDJ-200 controller via USB

Internal mixer selected:
Main output- Built in
Pre-cueing- Split output

Headphone splitter cable:
TRS stereo to dual TS mono
One output to headphones.
Other output to twin active Pioneer DM40 studio monitors via supplied 3.5mm to RCA adapter cable.

MIDI settings for DDJ-200:

Master- Monitor Cue
1- Deck 1 monitor
2- Deck 2 monitor

Result:

All off- Both decks through both speakers.

Master- Both decks through left speaker.

1 + Master- Both speakers deck 1 to right.

2 + Master- Both speakers deck 1 to left.

1- Both speakers.

2- Both speakers.

Nothing through headphones at all. Swapping the outputs gives the same result with everything through headphones and nothing from the speakers.

Hi @RyanLWB2,

Thanks for posting to the community for the first time!

Have you tried updating djay Pro AI to the latest version, v4.0.5, in the hopes that - that will solve your issue?

Additionally, could you attach a screenshot of your current audio routing found in djay’s preferences menu? I will attach a screenshot below for reference.

Looking forward to hearing back from you. Have a nice day!

Hi Nathaniel,

All sorted now thanks. For the benefit of anyone else with the same issue, just buy a proper DJ splitter cable and don’t be a donut like me!

Thanks.
