Problem connecting DDJ FLX4 and iPad Pro 5th gen

I can not connect my flx4 to iPad Pro 5th gen with a cable , only with Bluetooth and I can not get the controller output

I’m using USB’c to usb c and not working also I’m powering the flx4 with the iPad charger and also tryied another

I can connect with the same cable to the iPhone 16 pro max but not iPad Pro.

I have tried a lot of cables without luck also tried to connect another iPad and neither

Seems like is a cable problem

Hi @oskarinmix, thanks for the details about your setup and the issue.

  1. Are you running the latest FLX4 firmware from Pioneer DJ?
  2. Please close djay and follow the procedure below to perform a Forced Restart of your iPad: Force restart iPad - Apple Support (CA)

My flx-4 is running firmware 1.05

I have tried several cables and chargers, seems like the ipad did not recognize the midi flx with cable, only bluetooth midi.

i did erase the whole ipad and setup as a new ipad. and neither worked, but if with the same cable i connect my ipag 16 pro max it works

im desperate,i have bought different cables and no luck, test another ipad and neither work

Hi @oskarinmix, please follow these connection steps in the exact order and let me know if this works for you:

  1. Start by disconnecting ALL cables from your iPad and FLX4.
  2. Perform a Forced Restart of your iPad: Force restart iPad - Apple Support.
  3. After restarting, launch djay.
  4. Connect your iPad to the FLX4.
  5. Then connect the FLX 4 to power (this step must be done after connecting to iPad to the FLX4).

Also, I pulled this from the FLX4 manual regarding USB cables for reference:

i went to apple store, and apparently my ipad has some trouble in the connector, they tried to connect using original cables and chargers and no luck. they have some issues with my port, the solution they said is get a new ipad.
