Thanks for the video and database @Mauri_Moore. I’ve passed these onto engineering for further review.
Hi again @Mauri_Moore, our engineering team needs you to collect the console output while you still have the grayed out songs issue.
- First, let’s backup you “fixed” djay Media Library database by copying it to an external drive or different location on your Mac. You will find this file in
~/Music/djay
. - Second let’s replace your “fixed” database with one of the backups from
~/Music/djay/Backups
. There should be multiple dated folders in here so select from one before you made your fix and when you had the greyed out songs issue. - Finally, reboot your Mac and please do the following to capture the console output:
a. Open Console.app and Start streaming the log output.
b. Open djay and then scroll around in the library where they having greyed out tracks.
c. Send over all the log output.
In addition, how exactly was the music originally imported into My Collection? Was it via drag and drop from Finder, from iTunes or some other method? Thanks!
I will do what they need , THANKS for the support !
You’re welcome @Mauri_Moore
2 different machines (Macbook pro m4 & Macbook Air m4 )
Songs added in machine 1 by scrolling to the “+” symbol inside Djay pro
Machine 2 : drag & drop
Working in a club 6 days a week .
Thanks @Mauri_Moore.
@Mauri_Moore have you had a chance to do this yet? Our team really needs this before they can troubleshoot things further. Thanks!
I did all , trying to record the console
Thanks @Mauri_Moore. I have passed these onto engineering for review.
Hi again @Mauri_Moore, sorry we should have been a bit more specific. We need the logs generated and shown from doing this in Console.app…
sorry but now it is impossible , remember that we work every day and we needed to fix the problem , so now we have no songs marked in gray . The information that the dev team has should be enough.
Hi @Mauri_Moore, I guess we have to park this one for now then. Without a proper log from Console.app there is much more assistance the engineering team can provide. One future recommendation to consider is that you should keep your music in ~/Music folder instead of ~/Desktop as this is the only macOS folder that djay has complete unrestricted system access to.
