As part of my volunteer work at a community radio station we use the djay app along with AudioBus and other apps such as KoalaSAN in order to provide a cheap and reliable outside broadcasting solution.
However one thing that lacks is a decent way of mixing in speech via microphone into the mix.
At the moment it’s a bit of a bodge fix using extra hardware and other audiobus apps it’s not the most elegant solution.
What I would love is the ability to “push to talk” using either the internal microphone or an external one using an iRig or something similar.
An extra feature could be an option for the decks to reduce volume automatically when you push the button as well.
This would be a really great feature for people recording mixes as well as doing it live or broadcasting.
