Random songs play instrumental only during Automix

Summary of the issue:

When on automix, random songs will play with instrumental only. Used it recently to dj a salsa night and it happened a few times.

Can you shed any light on this?

Looks like the default transition is automatic. That doesn’t explain why the whole track plays instrumental only, surely it should just be the transition period.

Thanks for confirming @Paul. With this setting, djay will cycle through all of the available transition options in the list. I suspect this could be related to the Neural Mix (Harmonic Sustain). Can you please try setting your Automix to this option and see if you can replicate the issue? If so, please try to capture a short video of this. Thanks!

I tried that and it didn’t happen, however I managed to capture it the other day briefly.

Thanks for the video @Paul. I’ve passed this onto engineering to see if they can reproduce this. In the meantime, is there anything else happening that you think could be contributing to this?

Can’t think of anything that would be causing this. It only started happening since the 5.3 update.

Okay thanks @Paul. Engineering was able to replicate this and they’re working on a fix which should be released in an upcoming update (likely 5.3.2). Thanks!
