Rane 4 audio/first time setup

Hi all

Just got a Rane four today and setting it up on a laptop connected to TV soundar and sub until I get external speakers

All works except the 4 channel volume faders and the 4 channel EQs

When I switch to neural vs EQ in the software I can higher and lower Stems sounds

But the lows mids and high, nothing on all channels and nothing on the volume faders

On a Windows PC (win10)
Updated Rane four to latest version and Djay pro up to date

Right now it’s setup under internal mixer, I tried playing around external mixer for all players, when I select Rane, I see the lights besides the channels but no audio

The mixer is a standalone mixer. That means you don’t see anything in djay pro of you touch the eq or Fader. Check, if the faders in djay pro are at full level and also the master volume (I the left upper corner) is not muted. Also check crossfader settings on your device.

Hmm

Everything checked

Volume isn’t minimal but I’m just not seeing any volume change from EQ or faders

Driving me crazy lol

@Methodz99 have you installed the latest RANE Four firmware AND the Windows Drivers?

Also, do you have the appropriate Deck Source (USB A or B) selected to match the USB socket on the back you are connected to? Same goes for the USB/Line Source Selection (see below from the RANE FOUR user manual)

Plugged in usb A

Tried line and verified back it’s set as line

Tried USB also

Restarted both devices and no sound if I see lights on EQ levels

Before I started I updated firmware and Windows driver

@Methodz99 please share a screenshot of your djay Settings>Audio Devices page.

Also, try selecting the Reset to Defaults at the bottom of this page.

Have a look at these volume settings as well…

I just picked up my krks

Plugged them

And it all worked as intended

I guess with PC audio out to sound bar was problematic

My only thing now is that on the right deck the cappella and instrumental buttons are inverted but I assume that’s something that can I get used to or manually map

Great. Thanks for the follow up. Yes, you can easily remap these to your liking. Here’s a guide for Windows:
