Hello everyone! I want to replace my Numark Scratch mixer with a Rane 72! I’m interested in whether everything will work ok? if I use a Technics 1200/Rane 72 and IOS! I’m only interested in working with an IPAD!

Hi again @Polyura, Neural Mix EQ is not supported on this mixer. NM EQ is, however, supported on the Reloop RMX95 with firmware v1.07 or newer.

It’s a general problem with most external mixers. While many of them do also send MIDI commands for the EQ controls which djay can use to control NM EQs, they don’t have the ability to disable the internal hardware regular EQ function. So, with most external mixer mode devices we can’t toggle between regular EQs and NM EQs. Hopefully that makes sense.

For mixers, currently only the Reloop RMX95 and the Reloop ELITE. The REV7, RANE Four (not supported on iOS), RANE Performer (not supported on iOS) and RANE One also work with NM EQ in external mixer mode - but these are not standalone mixers.

Ah yes, the Numark Scratch! I forgot to mention this device, because it’s technically a MIDI controller and not an external mixer. It does not have any built-in internal hardware mixing and functions solely in Internal Mixer Mode with djay. So yes, it does work with NM EQs.
ok, now everything is clear!! I will think about reloop elit! since there are not many options (it’s a pity that this is the situation for rane 72( thank you for the answer!

Hi. I have a question about Neural FX. On my Elite mixer, there’s a feature where the Filter knob switches to Neural FX. My question is: will this feature work if I buy a Pioneer S7, Pioneer S9, Rane 72, or Rane 70 mixer?
I’m also wondering if the Crossfader FX will work. Thanks!
P.S. The Elite is a great mixer, but a major downside is that it doesn’t have an effects switch like these mixers do (
Hi @Polyura, I’m pretty sure the Neural Mix Filter will not work on those other devices. CFX should work with these devices, but I’m not 100% sure if they all send MIDI messages for their Crossfaders. If not, then CFX can be a bit unpredictable as djay has no way to monitor the Crossfader position.
