RANE One - Loud volume on track load - iOS

YOUR QUESTION

  1. I’ve been a 20+ year Serato user and recently purchaced a DJay Pro license as I’ve started to use more USB Class compliant hardware and wanted to test out the IOS support. I tested it on my Rane 70/1200s with DVS and everything is working great.

  2. I was using a Rane One (MK1) at my gig at the weekend and tested out DJay before the bar opened. It all seamed to work expect when I loaded a track to either deck the volume was really loud, I then moved the trim knob down to get a good volume , but each time I loaded a new track the volume would be really loud again even through the trim was at the lower setting. I only needed to slightly move the trim control and the volume would be back the correct volume. Was like if the trim setting was ignored until it was moved slightly for the software to pick up the level again. Is this normal for this device ? I had a quick search on here but couldnt find anything on it.

Hi @boabmatic, I recommend you check your djay Settings>Sound and share screenshots of these settings.

  1. I suggest you enable Unlink Controller Gain From on-Screen Gain.
  2. You may also want to change the Output Headroom.

Thanks for the quick reply , I’ve updated my settings to the same as your screenshot . I’ll not be able to test them for a few weeks as I’ll not be back on the Rane One until then.
