Device model MacBook Air M1/Sequoia/Latest Djay firmware/Rane Performer
The latest firmware update for the Performer (v1.3.0.13) includes a very interesting feature that allows you to apply an echo out effect when pressing the acapella or instrumental button for stems, with just a single button press. It works correctly in Serato but not with Djay Pro. Would it be possible to implement this feature or map it in some way?
I tried searching all over the internet, how to get the up and down switch on to activate the Echo effect, no luck there. I selected Midi tab at the on Djay Pro app, assuming I could map the Echo effect that way, once you hit the switcher up! it highlights all 6 of the effects. Example (Column Name Control ) CC4, (Column Name Target) Deck 1 you can select other option on the dropdown^, (Column Name Action ) FX1 Wet/Dry, and follows FX2 Wet/Dry, FX3 Wet/Dry, which makes since, 3 for Left Deck, and 3 for the Right side of the Deck. I tried using other effects, nothing seem to work, I also written up other codes for this, no good, hope that Algoriddim programers come up with an update soon. Might have to cancel my subscription over this.
Hi, it doesn’t work for the Rane Performer… nor internal or external mixer mode, it still the same, abrupt acapella or instrumental, no echo out when you press it. Anybody else with a Performer could please double check that? Thanks and regards.
Sorry @DjLemart, I should have provided more detail. This is not pre-mapped to the hardware, but is a feature that you need to enable in djay called Mute FX. Please see below:
Introducing new Mute FX that adds optional echo tails when muting or soloing stems”?
