Rane Performer motor switched off, can’t move track with jog wheels

If I turn off the motor on the Rane performer with djay PRO, I can’t move the track using the jog wheels. It works with Serato. Can I set this somewhere?

  • Device model (MacBook Pro 13)
  • Version of operating system (macOS 14.5)
  • Version of djay (5.2.3)
  • Hardware/controllers used (Rane Performer FW 1.1.0.13.)

Hi @DJ_Sini, this is currently expected behavior. Motor OFF in djay completely disengages the platters.

It would be helpful if I could move the track even when the motor is turned off.
Technically, this should be possible, since it works with Serato.
