YOUR QUESTION: Hi I’ve just updated to the latest version of Djay Pro on my ipad (9th Gen) & macbook pro (2020 M1 13inch). Im trying to decide between using Djay or Serato. I really love being able to use the ipad instead of my macbook. Serato has a rock solid feel & the timecode response is incredible. The whole integration is very good with the 72. Djay has it’s own pro’s, like using the ipad & I find the stems are vastly superior. With that said, I’m having different experiences between the IOS version & Mac OS version of Djay. The main issue is regarding the library displayed on the Rane72 screen. When Using Djay on my macbook pro 13inch, I see my library on the 72 display, I am able to scroll & load track directly from the 72 screen - just like Serato. However when using it with my ipad, when I scroll the library it brings up the last Serato folder I was in. The tracks scroll & load properly on the ipad screen, but on the 72 screen, it’s just a static display of the last serato folder I was in. I’ve tried restarting the mixer & the ipad, but then when I scroll the library, the 72 display only shows a blank library with a picture of a computer & the usb slot it’s connected to. So now, I’m not sure if this is a software/hardware limitation or a bug or maybe I’m doing something wrong? Can anyone suggest something to get my library to show on the 72 display when using the ipad?
