Read Memory Cues From OneLibrary

Now djay can read Rekordbox USB drives through OneLibrary, but there’s an issue where memory cues cannot be read or written. Could you consider adding this for better compatibility? Or alternatively, could you make hot cues 9-16 be recognized as memory cues in djay? It would be super nice.

Hi Slak_Jaw, the whole OneLibrary announcement got me so excited to switch my Rekordbox playlists to Djay. But the lack of memory cues really holds me back, my performances depend on them. Please add memory cues recognition to Djay.

I just wanted to add my support to this idea.

I play on CDJs a lot using USB, and make extensive use of memory cues as often may end up playing on older gear that doesn’t support 8 hot cues (like the CDJ2000NXS1 only supporting 3 hot cues). So I am generally forced to primarily use Rekordbox as my main software. So more hot cues isn’t a useful solution to me as that doesn’t load on CDJs anyways

Now we have OneLibrary, I would switch full time if Djay could handle memory cues. One of the nice things about memory cues is they are visually distinct from hot cues both in Rekordbox, as well as on CDJs and as such I do rely on them a lot for non-performance related reasons (I.e. a memory cues with a upcoming lyric for example).

So here’s hoping you guys consider it!

Hi @Bada, @oleander, and @ARINC — I wanted to report back because this OneLibrary limitation was blocking my workflow too.

I built CueMirror, a free and open-source macOS utility made specifically for this workflow. On selected tracks from a OneLibrary USB drive, it converts point cues in Hot Cue slots 9–16 into Memory Cues that compatible CDJ/XDJ hardware can recognize, while preserving the original Hot Cues.

The current version includes:

  • Automatic handling of FLAC, WAV, AIFF, and MP3 files — no format selection required
  • Batch selection by playlist or individual track
  • OneLibrary USB drives exported by djay Pro
  • macOS 15.2 or later on Apple silicon

A few important notes before testing:

  • Existing Memory Cues on each selected track are replaced by the newly generated set.
  • Hot Cue loops are currently skipped.
  • CueMirror is still experimental and modifies files on removable media, so please use a backup USB drive and verify it on your hardware before relying on it for a performance.
  • Python 3.14 installed through Homebrew is currently required for the read-only OneLibrary database query.
  • This is an independent community project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Algoriddim, AlphaTheta, Pioneer DJ, or rekordbox.

Please add memory cues in the macOs app. I would absolutely love this.
