Your question:
Would love any suggestions on maybe a recording device I can look into getting for recording sets while using a streaming service.!! thank you for your time!
If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, you can do it without any additional devices by simply using screen recording. Then open the recording in iMovie, set the start and end points of your mix and export the audio track - done!

A reputable audio interface is probably your best bet. The components are designed to process audio at much better sound quality than what most people are using including Screen recordits because the sound cards on moZoom, Focusrite, Tascam, and Presonus make some good ones and they really arent that expensive. Happy recording! #hvychkn
Hi, I’m currently operating with DJay Pro and a Reloop Buddy controller
This controller only has one Master Out connection. I’m trying to record via Audacity and I’ve also downloaded VB Cable which I’ve read was also required
What I’m trying to do is use the Buddy controller for my mix, be able to hear the mix via my Master Out connected to my speakers whilst Audacity from my connected PC to the controller, records the mix I’m working on
Is this possible? Obviously with a controller with more master out connectoins the situation becomes a lot easier I’m guessing but I only have the one for my speakers currently
If anybody does this via Audacity and the DJ Pro software and can help me with the settings or workaround etc it would be greatly appreciated
Just an additional note on this, tried tonight for over an hour to get Audacity to record any sort of sound whilst I had the Buddy controller operating DJay Pro and nothing whatsoever
On Playback device via Audacity Audio Options I have CABLE INPUT showing through the VB Audio Virtual Cable showing and Reloop Buddy Speakers
On Recording Device on Audacity I have Cable Output (VB Audio) as an option
Either something in settings on Audacity I’m missing but I’ve been through all these, can’t see anything on settings on DJay Pro that I can change, any help greatly appreciated. Still a newbie to this and ran into a handbrake hear trying to listen back to my “beginner sessions” recordings
I would recommend a external soundcard (like iRig) that you connect to RCA master on your buddy. iRig then connects via USB to the computer. IK Multimedia - iRig Stream
I have only one output on my Reloop Mixtour Pro as well (If you excludes the USB connection).
I have it connected to a couple of Pioneer speakers that both has RCA connection and a 3.5mm jack.
So the RCA goes from the Mixtour and the 3.5mm jack is connected with my tape 2.
I personally never been able to make the VB cable thing to work, so I abandoned it years ago.
I would love to get the Tape 2, I’ve actually emailed Reloop directly, I’m UK based and I cannot find one retailer who has this product in stock or for sale, even Amazon only has the previous Reloop Tape. If you have any help with that it would be apprecaited as so far I’ve drawn a blakk trying to get this
I’m on the verge of upgrading to the Reloop Mixon 8 which I like the look of and works out the box with DJay Pro so I’m guessing with this having a dedicated booth out RCA it should make the whole process a lot simplier…I hope
Yeah, you won’t be limited by connections on the Mixon 8 since it has booth output as well.
I was looking as well for the Tape 2 but I dunno if Reloop has discontinued the product, couldn’t find anything either.
I use a iRig Stream at home (The behringer you posted will do the same job).
I mostly use iRig Stream for when I stream on Twitch/Youtube. You can use the controllers dedicated soundcard, but I gotten som weird bugs there (both channels can be heard even if the volume is 0% etc).
I have dedicated myself to have a portable setup and using a external soundcard in your bag is just a lot of fuzz with cables and connections. So I use iRig Stream at home and I use Tape 2 when I’m on the road.
