When I’ve recorded a set it only plays back through one channel any ideas?

what do you mean it only plays out of one channel?

A recorded set when being played back should play from one channel if its loaded into a deck for playback.

Do mean that you recorded set is playback in mono and not stereo?

Also could you tell us if you are using external devices besides your iPad ( controller, sound interfaces, splitter cable …).
