Release FX & Parameter Sync Issues

Hi all,
I’m using djay Pro with Pioneer FLX10 Controller, and I’m having recurring issues with the FX section:

When I press the Release FX button, the LED stays on but the effect is not active – it only activates when the button is off.

Sometimes it works fine, other times it’s completely
off.

Also, the Beat (e.g. 1/2 Echo) and Level/Depth controls don’t match the controller position – even when the knob is at zero, the effect triggers.

Looks like a MIDI sync or pickup issue between the hardware and djay Pro.

I’ve already tried two different mappings, but nothing has improved.

It would be great if anyone could help me out or share a working solution.

Hi @Qubix, welcome to the Community! Sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. Thanks for the details about your setup and the issues.

  1. Are you using the latest FLX10 firmware from Pioneer DJ?
  2. Can you please try using the (built-in) MIDI mapping instead of a custom edit and confirm if the issues exist there too?
  3. Please update to djay 5.3.2 and confirm if the issues persist?
  4. If the issues still exist, please try to capture a short video of these to help us troubleshoot this further? Thanks!

I’ve now updated my controller’s firmware, and all functions are now available as usual.
