With both decks paused, please make sure your crossfader is in the middle and both Deck 1 and Deck 2 channel faders are at maximum. Press play on Deck 2 first, then press Sync on Deck 2. This will make Deck 2 the Tempo Master. Now move the tempo fader on Deck 2 and observe that both faders stay locked together.
Now stop both decks and turn sync Off. This time, press play on Deck 1 first, then press Sync on Deck 1. This will make Deck 1 the Tempo Master. Now move the tempo fader on Deck 1 and observe that both faders stay locked together.
NOTE: If you move the tempo fader on the deck that is NOT the tempo master, it will not keep the faders locked together. This is expected behaviour because the tempo master is the one that controls the sync and tempo. I hope that makes sense.

That is simply the icon for music files added/linked through the Files Source. You we see different icons for other sources like djay Music, Tidal, SoundCloud, Beatport, etc.
