Reloop Buddy and Looper section

A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE:

selecting the performance mode: “sampler” and “looper” (double press to change the window also in djay pro on Ipad) it shows always the sampler window and to select the looper I need to tap on the Ipad the icon of the looper

B) DETAILED STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. press “mode” key

  2. double press “looper" pad

C) EXPECTED RESULTS:

Hi @Borgata_Zimmerwald, welcome to the Community! Thanks for the details about your setup and the issue. This is very helpful.

  1. Are you using the (built-in) MIDI mapping for the Buddy or a custom edit?
  2. When you double-tap the Looper Pad mode, do the pads on the hardware control the Looper even though the UI doesn’t change to the Looper? Or are the hardware pads controlling the Sampler?
  3. Did this work as expected on a previous version of djay before 5.6.5?
  4. Do you have a macOS or Windows device running djay? If so, does the same issue occur on those platforms?
  5. What does a single-tap of the Looper Pad mode do? Is it the same result as the double-tap?
  6. Does this issue happen 100% of the time or is it intermittent?
  7. Do you experience this issue with other Pad Modes or only the Looper?
  8. Can you please capture and share a short video of the issue?

  3. Did this work as expected on a previous version of djay before 5.6.5? [idk, I didn’t have the controller before, Now I have updated to 5.6.6, same bad behavior]

  4. Do you have a macOS or Windows device running djay? If so, does the same issue occur on those platforms? [at the moment I only have the iPad]

  5. What does a single-tap of the Looper Pad mode do? Is it the same result as the double-tap? [single tap just activates the specific Performance Mode, double tap is meant to display the corresponding mode also in the software. double tap works for the other performance modes, the Looper has the issue. Slicer as well doesn’t open the correspondent panel, and if I tap on the iPad to open that panel(that is under Cue section) next time I double press the button for the Hot Cue it won’t display the Hot Cue section but the Slider one]

  6. Does this issue happen 100% of the time or is it intermittent? [100٪]

Thanks for answering my questions @Borgata_Zimmerwald. I have passed this onto our hardware engineering team to see if they can reproduce the issue on their setup and offer any suggestions. I’ll report back when I have more news. Thanks!
