Reloop Buddy. Power bank and sound output issues?

Just got a small power bank for back up. It’s 5v output (9000000mAh - whatever that means) and seems to work ok with most things. Direct into iPad: Yes. Via USB hub: No. Mini rig speaker: Yes

However it definitely doesn’t work to power up Buddy controller (they say 5v, so I’d assume it should).

I’m wondering if this is common, before I make assumption its just this power bank and invest in another.

Thanks

PS: Also read somewhere on Reddit that reloop doesn’t have good sound quality master outputs. I haven’t tried it on any other systems other than at home, so not noticed any issue so far, but its this a thing?

In addition to the Voltage, you need to consider the Amperage requirements of the Buddy. This info should be available in the user manual. Then make sure your power bank can meet or exceed the Amperage requirements as well.

Yes, it ‘should’, but it doesn’t. Only info is “Power: DC-5V > 2A USB-B”.

It looks like I’ll have to buy another higher Amperage one to see.

Thanks

Yes, that’s exactly the info you need. 5V, 2A. 2A is 2 Amps. This equates to a 10 Watt power supply requirement. Your power bank needs to supply at least these values.

Hmm, good example of calling a spade a shovel.

I can’t find any info on Wattage or Amps on this model, only 9000000mAh / 5v.

Should this work or is that not relevant info?

Thanks

Then you should find a power bank that has this information as this is critical to the proper functioning of the Reloop Buddy.

Easier said than done.

Very easy. I did a search on Amazon for 2A, 5V powerbank and found 90 options:
